
In order to switch your cars in a proper way you have to uncouple the cars in a proper way.
The introduction of magnetic uncoupling by Kadee[3] was a major breakthrough utilizing magnetic force to activate the coupler. Now it was possible to spot cars at any desired location on any track beyond a magnetic uncoupler.
Delayed magnetic uncoupling is a unique way of dropping a car, or cars, at any number of locations using only some magnetic uncouplers on specific spots.
By the rules of the timesaver[4] the magnets has to be positioned on specific places (the blue dots), as you can see in the image below.
First I cut out a piece of wood, mount the uncoupler (magnet) and then put a piece of painters-tape over it. Later on I can ballast the track with no problem
